About Red Wolf Builders
Red Wolf Builders specializes in Southeast Texas custom homes and upscale renovations. Our humble beginnings start with owner Rocky Melancon in 1979. As a newlywed, Rocky watched many people around him head off to work at the local plants every morning. He dreamed of a different life for himself and his bride. He wanted to be his own boss, make his own decisions, and be in control of his own schedule. Most importantly, Rocky wanted to do what he does best: bring top quality skill and artistry to residential projects throughout Southeast Texas. He told his wife that premium craftsmanship was becoming extinct, much like the beloved endangered species of the local red wolf.
He decided then that he would become more than just a homebuilder. His primary mission was to make clients’ dream homes a reality – and Red Wolf Builders was born.

Gary Melancon
Site Supervisor
Gary Melancon joined the Red Wolf team in ????????. Gary proves that skill, talent, and superior workmanship are all eminent Melancon-family traits. He partners with clients to truly understand their specific residential goals and overall vision. From there, not only does Gary directly manage several key build components himself, he also oversees the entire process as well as the team to ensure service excellence from start to finish.

Gary’s son Travis has literally grownup with a hammer in his hand. He spent his youth on project sites, watching, learning and honing his craft under the mentorship of his father and uncle. Today, Travis bring his own distinctive skills as well as the signature Melancon mark of talent to every job he undertakes for Red Wolf.
